Kuba Giermaziak Tries Racing on Snow!

Wisla 17.02.2012

Snow Sport Show – an organ donor awareness initiative and a driving force behind “Run for New Life”, a cross country ski race featuring show business and sports personalities – is fast approaching.  Also participating is Kuba Giermaziak.

On 25 February ORLEN’s Winter Stop Café will roll into the town of Wisła in southern Poland to support Snow Sport Show, an organ donor awareness initiative.  This time, ORLEN’s bistro on wheels won’t be there merely to dispense hot beverages and tasty snacks but will also bring along Kuba Giermaziak to have him take part in what is a radically different contest from what he is used to – a cross country ski race!  Thus, instead of competing with other Porsche race drivers on a decidedly snowless race track Kuba will dash down a snow trail alongside a number of show business personalities, including Przemek Saleta, Krzysztof “Diablo” Włodarczyk, Paweł Kukiz, Joanna Jabłczyńska, Jarosław Jakimowicz, Tomek Iwan, Mateusz Borek, Alan Andersz and Rafał Bryndal.

The goal behind Snow Sport Show – an initiative launched in 2011 – is to promote organ donor awareness and encourage people to become organ donors as well as emphasize the importance of physical activity among transplant recipients.  The initiative is spearheaded by Przemek Saleta, a former Polish professional boxer and kickboxer and an organ donor himself.

PKN ORLEN is proud to be the main sponsor of the Snow Sport Show project for the second year in a row.
