Porsche Supercup

PORSCHE MOBIL1 SUPERCUP is an international one-make championship series. It has been supporting the FIA Formula One World Championship since 1993 which means that all the Porsche SuperCup races are held at the same race tracks as the Formula One events.

Since 2005 Porsche SuperCup drivers compete in technically identical Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (type 997) cars. On average, there are 24 cars taking part in each race. Points are awarded to the first 15 finishers under the following points system: 20-18-16-14-12-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1.

Since 1993 the number of races held each season has fluctuated between the low of 9 and the high of 12.

Porsche SuperCup races typically take place on Sunday mornings and attract an average audience of 120 000 spectators at each track. Porsche SuperCup is one of the fastest and most spectacular one-make motor racing series.
